Departs Cairns Central Station at 8.30am or 9.30am daily.
Return journey departs Kuranda Station at 2.00pm or 3.30pm daily.
If booking the early departure, you will automatically be assigned the early return time unless otherwise requested on the booking form. Late departures will recieve the late return time unless otherwise requested.
Departures are available from Freshwater Station at 8.55am and 9.55am. If you require your journey to start at Freshwater, please mention this on the booking form.

- The Cairns Railway Station is located on Bunda Street, Cairns. If you are walking from Cairns city the Station is accessible via Cairns Central Shopping Centre. The Freshwater Railway Station is located on Kamerunga Road, Freshwater. If you are travelling from the Northern Beaches or Port Douglas take the Freshwater exit off the Captain Cook Highway.

The original Kuranda Scenic Railway is a spectacular journey comprising unsurpassed views of dense rainforest, steep ravines and picturesque waterfalls. This famous railway winds its way on a journey of approximately 2 hours from Cairns to Kuranda, the village in the rainforest.
