Tour Description
This Sorrento Sea Kayaking adventure is for people who want to get away from it all!
See dolphins and visit the former Quarantine station. Amazing views at lunch time.
Your experience begins with a short discussion on the format for the day including lunch break, distance expected to paddle and weather conditions. You are then kitted up with a PFD, spray deck, paddle jacket, thermals and a paddle before the all important Kayak safety briefing including a dry capsize drill. Most sea kayaks are double sea kayaks (Pittaraks) with a couple of single kayaks available for the more experienced paddlers in the group.
You'll then set out on the adventure paddling as one group, with knowledgable commentary on environmental features and local history. Sights you'll see along the way include dolphins, seals, sea eagles, commorants, fish, boat wrecks, historical buildings, marinas and yachts. Lunch and drinks are prepared for all participants about half way through the trip at the Old Quarantine Station (a short tour of the former Quarantine Station is included). Then you'll return to the start, gear is packed away and you can change into some warm clothes.
This adventure takes place between September to May, and is the perfect way to see the picturesque Sorrento locale. Warning - kayaking is seriously addictive!
