Tour Description
Leaving Sydney we take a scenic drive to the heritage village of Wollombi. Our first stop of the day is a heritage-listed guesthouse, which dates back to 1840. The property is a former magistrates residence and there are convict cells for guests to view. We have morning tea on the verandah here before taking a short walking tour of the village. The next stop is our first winery. As well as sampling the wines, the owner will show guests how the wine is made.
We next head along a picturesque country road to the quiet village of Broke. In the Broke village we visit a store selling a range of olive-based products and then have lunch at a winery restaurant. After lunch we enjoy wine tasting at a couple of boutique wineries, and on most occasions the cellar door managers are there to chat with guests and answer any questions they may have about wine making. From Broke we head back to Sydney at about 4.30pm.
