After a wholesome breakfast we explore the world famous Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorges know
as the Corridors of Time, a must see in any trip to the Flinders Ranges. Search for the rare yellow footed rock wallaby and see ancient 600 million year old fossils. Today lunch is provided at the iconic Prairie Hotel, Parachilna, The menu offers delicious native foods including smoked kangaroo, camel mettwurst, wattleseed chicken, virginian ham, bush tomato chilli jam with green salad and freshly baked damper rolls.
Now it’s time to sit back and watch the mountains give way to the desert of northern South Australia. Travel along the remote Oodnadatta Track gaining a glimpse at how our early settlers lived in this harsh environment. Arrive at Marree the historic outback town which marks the start of the famous Birdsville track. This is where the Afghan camel trains of up to 100 camels would camp before heading out into the harsh deserts of outback Australia.
This afternoon take to the skies for a two hour flight over Lake Eyre and the Cooper Creek, the only way to truly see this once-in-a-lifetime event and witness the rebirth of this magical land.
In the evening enjoy your dinner, kick back and have a drink, sitting around the campfire while gazing into the outback sky.

We take you to Level Point Bay at the shores of Lake Eyre where you are able to walk onto the salt lake which is approximately 11 metres below sea level. This is where Sir Donald Campbell broke the land speed record in 1964 in the famous Bluebird.
Then meander back down along the western side of the magnificent Flinders Ranges watching the colours change over the mountains as the sun slowly sinks into the desert sky.
Arrive at Port Augusta at the tip of Spencer Gulf set amid stunning arid landscaped grounds. After freshening up wander over to a local restaurant and share a delicious meal and wind down.
