Cairns Tropical Zoo is located approximately 30 minutes north of the Cairns city. It's the best place to enjoy great wildlife presentations including Queensland’s ONLY Red Pandas, the fabulous Free Flight Bird Show and Snake Show. Take the opportunity to ‘Cuddle a Koala’ (extra cost applies). See one of Australia’s best reptile displays, hand feed tame kangaroos, meet Wombats, cassowaries, cotton top tamarins, dingoes, alligators, crocodiles, and more.
Arrive at Tjapukai in the afternoon for admission to all day shows:
Nature's Voice and Creation Theatres, live Dance performance, Bush Foods & Medicines and Hunting & Weapons Demonstrations, and *Spear & Boomerang throwing.
Don't forget to browse through our retail art gallery for authentic souvineirs before returning to your accommodation.
*In wet weather, demonstrations will be held under cover
